There has been no shortage of rumors circulating about the future of the New England Patriots empire. Reports of disagreements over personnel decisions and possible trades have increasingly emerged, making it ever-harder to deny that a rift exists in the organization, particularly with Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.
Naturally, Oprah Winfrey had to get to the bottom of this.
.@Oprah asks Tom Brady, “Is something going on with you & Belichick?”
TB: “Umm…No. I mean, I love him. I love that he’s an incredible coach, mentor for me. And he’s pushed me in a lot of ways. Like everything, we don’t agree on absolutely everything. But that’s relationships.”

Hopefully, this clears things up for the time being. The legendary QB still speaks highly of the man who helped make him one of the greatest in NFL history. He did acknowledge that there have been disagreements, but the working relationship clearly remains intact.
All told, this is bad news for the rest of the AFC. The conference’s only hope next year was for Belichick and Rob Gronkowski to leave the Patriots and send things into a tailspin. But now it looks like neither of those things are going to happen.
"It's coming sooner, rather than later."

The Patriots will inevitably be AFC favorites next season, but their grip on the conference is growing weaker. With Julian Edelman suspended for the first four games of the season, their offense will be lacking a go-to playmaker, and their running back corps is undistinguished. Once again, they’ll be singularly reliant on some TB12 magic.
The NFL’s wait for a new titan to rise in the AFC is seemingly almost over. As long as Brady and Belichick are there, though, the will have to keep waiting a bit longer.
